Meeting Minutes From August 9, 2010
Attendees: Christine Townsend, Teresa Hooten, Carey Crites, Dale Crites, Sharon Crites, Jeanie Roberts, Morgan Hooten, Kathy Minor, Cora Moffett, Beth Townsend, Paul Pank, Emilie Pank, Linda Mozingo, Mary Malone, Krystal Powers, Candy Reese, Baily Mozingo, Teri Cutter, Mel Fields, Julie Shelton, Karen Monk, Carla Shook, Karen Crum, Alice Bokelman, John Bokelman.
Meeting called to order by Christine Townsend
In the June minutes it was stated that sometimes Linda Mozingo was not sure if some functions were functions of The Arc or of Special Olympics. It should have stated that there is sometimes confusion about whether the event is a function of the Arc or DSI. A motion to accept the minutes made by Dale Crites, seconded by Paul Pank passed.
Treasurer Paul Pank passed out budget and profit/loss sheets. Paul suggested to make another pay down on the loan principle of $18,000. Mel Fields noted that some modifications to the building are needed to free up more space.The modifications will probably be in the four to five thousand dollar range. A motion to pay $18,000 on the loan principle made by Dale Crites and seconded bt John Bokelman passed.
- Coordinator report - County report, Teri Cutter, Mel Fields, Julie Shelton - PE program is organizing a bake sale for Friday 13th. - Three new clients - Fred Miller left dsi - Keith Sheible is overseeing production - Michelle Hammond is the new production supervisor. - Work is still steady - Residential Habilitation Services-The state is pushing toward four person homes - Voc. Rehab.- Everyone will have to be referred through voc. rehab.in the future - Interested parties are urged to attend a meeting on Tuesday, August 17th at 1:00 p.m. to discuss issues regarding the future | of paid work services. - Teresa Hooten will send out an email regarding the trip to the statehouse. - Tree City Estates ribbon cutting the 18th at 11:00 a.m. - New business: Camp woodsmoke family day is September 11th.--both stok and Arc members invited—fliers need to be changed to include stok—Greensburg Fire Department will provide hamburgers, hotdogs, and manpower—Alan Crum kareoke—Bingo - Self Advocates---Jeanie Roberts presented the list of activities preferred by the self advocates. The list had been requested by the Arc.
