The Arc of Decatur County, Indiana welcomes you!

   The Arc of Decatur County’s purpose is focused to promoting the general welfare of all developmentally disabled persons. This revolves around goals that will foster the development of programs in their behalf.

   The Arc of Decatur County encourages research related to developmental disabilities (Autism, Aspergers, Down Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injuries, etc) and focuses efforts to advise, and aid parents that will help coordinate their efforts and activities.

   The Arc of Decatur County promotes a better public understanding of the problems faced by the developmentally disabled.
In this endeavor, the Arc of Decatur County cooperates with all public and private groups, agencies, or organizations in the furtherance of these ends and to associate with and support financially, the State and national components of the Arc to promote the common cause.

   The Arc of Decatur County serves locally as a clearinghouse for the information of developmental disabilities and its associated problems and relies on the solicitation of funds for the accomplishment of the above purposes.

   The Arc promotes these and many other programs for persons with developmental disabilities such as Education, The integration of all children in their neighborhood schools, Early Childhood Referral Services, Job Shadowing Programs, Advocacy, Self Advocacy, Public Awareness, Delivery of Information, Employment, Community Employment, Community Connections, Volunteer Services, Residential Services, Residential Care, Supported Living, and Special Olympics
